What's involved in treatment?

Depending on findings from your assessment, i may use a combination of manual therapy including mobilisations, massage, muscle energy techniques, muscle activations & releases. I also use biomechanical correction,  and a personalised exercise program of stretches and strengthening exercises to address any muscle imbalances, weakness, restrictions or areas of instability, including the use of clinical pilates for rehabilitation. Acupuncture can be used where indicated for pain relief (see Acupuncture section). I also use rocktape for acute injury management and swelling, and also to increase proprioception to improve biomechanics & muscle balance. Kinesiology tape can be used both to apply compression and to promote recovery or decompression to relieve pain and swelling. When applied over a stretched muscle it lifts the skin, accelerating blood flow to increase the amount of oxygen available to the muscle and healing process.
